Since 2007, we have provided quality Irish dance instruction to MetroWest Boston and the surrounding areas. Our dancers compete at the highest level and are experienced performers, but above all, have developed a love for Irish dancing and Irish culture.
Our Mission
Our goal is to foster a love for traditional Irish dancing in children of all ages. In our classes, dancers learn proper carriage, foot placement, and musicality, as well as the importance of practice and determination. Our small class sizes and individualized teaching approach mean that every student advances at their own pace, and receives the support they need to reach their potential, both as dancers and people. Our goal for all our Inishfree dancers during their careers is to work hard, have fun, and create life-long friendships!
History of the School
Inishfree Massachusetts opened its doors in 2007, after director Meghan Allen Danaher earned her teaching certification (TCRG) from the Irish Dancing Commission in Ireland. The school is one of three Inishfree branches, with Inishfree New York, established in 1985 by Sean Reagan ADCRG, and Inishfree Texas, established by Neill Reagan ADCRG. Though neither competition nor performing is a requirement, dancers at Inishfree Massachusetts regularly compete on a regional, national, and international level, and have performed at a variety of venues, including for the former Irish President. In 2017, former Inishfree student Megan McNally Bowie joined the teaching staff after receiving her TCRG. Classes are currently held in West Concord, MA.
